RELEASE - For Immediate release
SupporttheSEALs.org & Maritime Tactical Security Fundraiser for the 3 Navy SEALs.
We are delighted and honored to announce the successful completion of the fundraising event benefiting the
legal costs associated with the court martial facing US Navy SEAL Heroes,
Petty Officer Second Class Matthew McCabe, Petty Officer Second Class Jonathan Keefe
and Petty Officer Julio Huertas.
On March 27, 2010 at the Silverleaf Country Club in Scottsdale, AZ over 120 supportive members gathered
to meet face to face with Navy SEAL S02 Matthew McCabe, his attorneys Neal Puckett and Haytham Faraj
and to hear from leaders like Rep. John Shadegg, Bill Montgomery and UDT-SEAL AZ Chapter members.
The luncheon was the first venue in which Matthew McCabe publically announced his successfully passing
a professional polygraph after the SEALs successfully captured one of Iraqs most wanted terrorists
who claimed the SEALs punched him once. McCabe fielded general questions from those whom attended
and spoke to his passion about becoming a SEAL. He further emphasized appreciation and the tremendous
impact the support is having on all three of the SEALs and the greater SPECWAR community.
In the mere four hour timeframe, the luncheon was able to successfully raise over $12,000 dollars
towards their legal costs/defense fund. A memorable moment included patriotic supporters willing
to bid as much as $450.00 for a copy of Marcus Luttrells: Lone Survivor book, all of which went
towards the defense fund.
Graham Ware, founder of Supporttheseals.org stated-
"It is with humbling honor and sincere appreciation that we were able to put together such
an extraordinary event. This came at the efforts of wonderful people such as
Kristin Sandquist, Emily Casarona, Jason Watts, Tom Parrella, David Johnson, Rachel Dzieran,
and the many supporters in the Facebook Group some including Naomi Rose, Debbie Henry,
Joe Sipala, Michelle Pillette, and the other 270,000 people coming to the aid of these heroes.
We cannot stop now and are looking forward to leveraging more sponsors & continuing to draw needed attention to this injustice.
Everyone putting forth efforts/donations will essentially allow us the ability to put together a bigger event in Coronado, CA."
We are challenging more people to help spread the awareness and join our national facebook group Americans United Against the Prosecution of 3 Navy SEALs where you can keep up on events as they happen and further express support as the SEALs do read the wall.
